The PFTA (Parent Friend Teacher Association) is a group of volunteers that meets every half term to organise fundraising events on behalf of the school. Money raised directly benefits all children and provides the school with additional funding to support the curriculum. Annual events include: a Promises Auction; a Christmas Fayre; a Quiz Night and a Summer Fayre. This year the money raised paid for the new trim trail and school educational visits.
All parents and teachers are members of the PFTA and are welcome to attend any meetings. Meetings are held at Blackwell First School or Blackwell Club.

Links are made with the local community through liaison with St. Catherine's Church, the Parish Council, our local nursery providers and the local residential home, Burcot Grange.
