First of all, well done to you all for remembering our four rules for good listening when we went over to BIG school and watched Year 1’s Bear Hunt assembly. It was lovely to see you all enjoying it and joining in with the words to the story.
Forest School has been a little wet this week but it didn’t stop us. The huge puddle created by all that rain just gave us a super river to float our boats in! You also really enjoyed singing some of our favourite songs with an outdoor song cube and we have added a seesaw to our Forest School playground. J
Indoors, we have started work on initial sounds and can now listen and hear our own sound at the beginning of our name. We have looked at the end of our story “Brown Paper Teddy Bear” and our very own teddy has brought in some of his old toy friends ~ soldiers, horses and dinky cars. In our Write Dance sessions we have enjoyed our new song “Dinky Car” and taken them for a drive through chalk and shaving foam. In our “Maths” session, we have been hokey cokeying; to learn all about “in” and “out” and using Bear Hunt to teach us about “over”, “under” and “through”.
We hope you are having a lovely weekend and remember what we talked about yesterday; happy faces make others feel happy too! See you next week for our Teddy Bear’s Picnic – we have biscuits and smoothies to make for it so get those hands ready for some work!
