Another fun packed week - Forest School has certainly looked a lot different these past few days now the cold weather has arrived. Frozen sand, frozen animals, frozen water in the gully and an ice rink in the mud kitchen! It has been lovely to see you “play and explore” - cracking the ice, collecting the ice, melting the ice by lying it in the sun and even drawing with ice. Who knew it could be so much fun?
Luckily our cabin has been toasty warm and we have had some delicious warm meals to keep us going. A huge hit was Spaghetti Bolognese on Wednesday – I have never seen so many empty bowls! You are doing so well with your knives and forks; remember keep practising this at home by having a go at cutting your own food and feeding yourself. All of these actions are great for exercising and controlling those fingers/hands.
How lovely to see some of you at the Christmas Fayre on Friday with your grownups! J We hope you had fun.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend – get those singing voices ready for next week as our Christmas theme is finally here!
