What a week we have had for transition into Blackwell school life.
We started by being spectators at the school sports morning. You were all so sensible holding a friends hand, crossing the road, sitting and cheering on your friends from other classes. This gave most of you a taste of the things to come for you in September.
We then moved on to taking part in our very first Wake and Shake competition. Mrs Allen and I were speechless at how confident you were showing off our “Number Fun Keep Fit Song” to the WHOLE school – I think even Blue class were a little worried about the competition! We will find out the final result next week - fingers crossed.
Purple class Farmers assembly was another highlight as we got to enjoy their version of a big book we have been looking ourselves in the nursery, The Little Red Hen. We followed this assembly by heading straight into Red class and doing our very own first performance of the same story!
The grand finale to the week was our very first Sporting afternoon today. What an enjoyable time we all had as the weather was perfect and you took part with big smiles and on your face, even when you fell over! Thank you Mrs Moss for the tea and Miss Townsend, Mrs Webb and Mrs Lewis for your support. J
Although some of you have said goodbye to us now, we are still lucky enough to have a few days left to enjoy with you. I hope your grownups are prepared for the volume of items of yours we have that are coming your way on Monday and Tuesday.
I bet you are all so tired, I know we are! Get plenty of rest this weekend! See you bright and early Monday morning.
Mrs Mander, Mrs Allen, Mrs Franklin, Mrs Lewis, Mrs Cain and Mrs Thompson.
