It has been a brilliant week in Green Class. Firstly, I think you’ll agree that the children put on a fantastic performance for our class assembly on Thursday. They rose to the challenge after only 2 and a half weeks of starting the topic. Straight after their performance they turned their retell of ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’ into a story in their Literacy books. Every child worked really hard to produce a story which demonstrated all the skills we’ve learnt during the topic such as capital letters, full stops, adjectives and contractions. (Ask them what this means and I bet you’ll be amazed.) The children are making great progress and I think you’ll be very proud when you see their books at our next parent consultations. I wish I could have awarded more than 2 Gold Book certificates this week.
Today saw the end of our Bears topic and on Monday we start our new topic which is Hinduism. We will looking into the main beliefs and practices of the religion and reading the story of Rama and Sita.
It was lovely to see so many faces on Thursday. Thanks as always for your continued support.
Have a good weekend everyone.
