Hello Green Class,
We hope you are having a really great break, you were certainly ready for it after a busy half term. We continue to be very proud of you and our highlights of the last half term were definitely our family assembly and our trips to the theatre and Worcester Cathedral. It has also been a pleasure to see how much progress you’ve made in your learning. We have lots of visitors to our class who always compliment you on your independence, your self-initiated learning and the variety of learning taking place at any one time in our classroom. We can’t believe we are half way through the year already!
Our new topic when we return next week will be a history based topic where we will be delving into all things Anglo-Saxon. As you start to think about school, our main request is that you pick up and read a book each day for the next few days. (Hopefully lots of you already are with the readathon.) It is always great to practise any of the mental maths facts listed on homework sheets too or you could try and teach your grown-ups one of our maths songs such as: Number Bond, Our Tower (finding the difference) or Bob and Steven (odd and even). If you did want to do any topic research, we would love to see it and you will be able to share it with your friends on the first day back.
Enjoy your last few days,
Mrs James and Miss Turner x
