Well done children for a good first week back. You are all settling into the new routines well and have shown me what enthusiastic learners you are. I think we're going to have a super year together!
You have done some great history learning already including:
- ordering periods of history and giving reasons for your order
- posing historical questions about some fascinating Victorian jobs
- interpreting a range of sources to find out more about chimney sweeps, maids, factory workers, miners...
What busy bees you've been. I think you all deserve a good rest this weekend before more Victorian learning and the start of our Literacy and Numeracy journeys next week.
I'll see you on Monday when some of you (groups 7 and 8) have your first Forest School session. If you haven't done so already, remember to bring in your wellingtons and we will also have our first P.E. lesson later on in the week so remember your P.E. kit too. Our class newsletter that you took home this evening lists everything you need to have in your kit plus lots more useful information for your parents.
Have a lovely weekend and enjoy picking a Victorian activity from the new homework sheet if you want to continue your learning at home.
